Immune System is a fascinating feature of Nature making human persevere through the various stages of changes that have taken place for thousands of years. Without this phenomenon we probably would have been wiped out from the face of the earth like how the Dinosaurs disappeared. It is this IMMUNE SYSTEM that kept us going through all the diseases that appeared on earth. Be it SARS, Swine-Flue, etc., etc., we manage to successfully live on and carry forward to our next generation what our ancestors have passed on to us. If we can mimic such a consistent system,  if not fully to whatever extent possible in our technology, by all means I believe we can have a "Higher Order Technology" which can also adapt to our ever changing requirements. We have to start at some point and I believe in the line "IF YOU WANT TO SEE CHANGE IN THE WORLD BE PART OF THE CHANGE". My belief has become even more stronger that Artificial Immune System could be taken up as a field of study and bring about what ever little change we can to enhance the present day technology.
